Toyota and Lexus cars will add Alexa voice plugin this year
As part of the Consumer Products Exhibition (CES 2018), which is being held in Las Vegas, Toyota announced that it is adding the Alexa audio assistant to some Toyota and Lexus cars starting in 2018.
Toyota said the Alexa voice plugin will be fully integrated with the entertainment and information systems of Lexus and Toyota, such as Entune 3.0 and Enform 2.0. This will allow the driver to access many things via voice commands such as directions, entertainment control, news listening and control. In a smart home.
The driver will also benefit from the full range of services and skills that Alexa has in answering the questions, as well as limited steps such as locking doors and operating the vehicle.
Toyota confirmed that the move will begin with some 2018 models of the company's cars such as Camry and some Lexus cars and of course will expand further in 2019.
