Microsoft announces acquisition of GitHub for $7.5 billion

After several reports of Microsoft's desire to acquire GitHub, microsoft announced its official acquisition of GitHub for developers.

The platform is a fertile environment for developers around the world to learn and develop systems and applications, as well as benefit from the former developers and complete programming systems and applications in a more modern way, the platform allows developers to share their own code, which makes it easy for other developers to take advantage of it and develop it as well.

According to Microsoft, the deal reached $7.5 billion, and the former Xamarin CEO Nat Friedman (and now Microsoft corporate vice president) will become GitHub’s CEO. GitHub founder and former CEO Chris Wanstrath will become a Microsoft technical fellow and work on strategic software initiatives.

Microsoft said the new acquisition will follow the company's "Intelligent Cloud" section, and that the site's workflow will continue to allow 28 million developers to benefit from each other as well as to develop the platform by adding new tools to developers.
